Fabian Aguilar
Fabian is Principal at Angel Ventures, the leading regional LATAM venture capital firm with 150 million USD on assets under management, where he manages two investment funds, containing 76 investments today in 13 countries. As an angel investor, he specializes in FinTech and media startups and invested in the first FinTech unicorn ever coined in Mexico.
As a senior consultant, he has taken part in many venture capital projects for the Inter-American Development Bank, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy, the Development Bank of Jamaica, among others. He serves as an advisor on special financing projects in the petrochemicals industry for a Mexican conglomerate that generates more $4.3 billion in revenue annually, and actively takes part in the board of advisors of Amplifica Capital, an investment firm that invests in women-led ventures.
He is a senior lecturer in corporate finance and alternative assets at Universidad Anahuac and ITAM, two of the most prestigious universities in Mexico, and has given lectures and masterclasses on topics related to the Venture Capital industry in 10 countries to date.
Fabian has a degree in International Business and a diploma in entrepreneurship, both from Universidad Anáhuac Norte, and studies in corporate finance from ITAM.
