As such, sustainable growth must be prioritized by pursuing specific and feasible strategies to transition to a carbon neutral society. Korea is a leading global example of what a proactive, integral national approach looks like. This session will explore the Korean experience in transitioning to a green economy and will discuss the roles of both the public and private sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean and Korea to identify cooperation opportunities to counter climate change. 3:10pm–4:10pm KST | Embracing Digital Transformation: Strategy for Going Digital Prior to the pandemic, a paradigm shift towards digitalization of the economy was underway. Two years later, not only has COVID-19 accelerated digital transformation, but it has bridged the gaps created by mandated shutdowns and social distancing measures. While the challenges facing Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) governments are heterogeneous, there is much that Korea can share with the region to support its journey towards digital transformation based on its own experience implementing Korea’s Digitalization. Trade Facilitation and Investment Attraction Korea-LAC Knowledge Exchange Trade and investment are central to growth and sustainable development.
