Ho-Yeol KWON

President Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI)

Dr. Ho-Yeol Kwon serves as President of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI), Member of National Advisory Group on Korean New Deal in the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning (PCPP), Vice President of Operations at the Korean Association for Policy Studies (KAPS), and Co-Vice President of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE).

He graduated from Seoul National University’s Department of Electronics Engineering, earned a master’s and doctoral degree in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and completed SEIT from Stanford University and SEEK from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in United States. He also served as Member of the Presidential Council on Education, National Vice President of the Regional Innovation Council, Non-Executive Director of the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), Visiting Researcher at Stanford University, Dean of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Addis Ababa University/Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAU/AAiT) in Ethiopia, Dean of College of IT at Kangwon National University, and President of the Korea Association of Information Systems Audit.
