Jeong-Hoi Kim

Deputy Minister for Trade Negotiations Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy

Mr. Jeong-Hoi Kim is the Deputy Minister for Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Republic of Korea. He is an all-rounded expert in industrial and trade policies with over 28 years of professional experience.

Prior to his position as a Deputy Minister for Trade Negotiations, he was a Secretary for Trade Policies with Asian Countries(New Southern and New Northern Policies) at the President Office.  He also served as a Director General for industrial policies, at Industrial Technology Convergence Policy Division, Resources Industry Policy Division and Energy Industry Policy Division.

He worked as a Director for General Services and Personnel Division, Machinery, Robotics and Defense Division, Americas Trade Policy Division, Automobile and Shipbuilding Division. He also worked at the Balanced national Development Policy Division, Minister’s office, Export and Import Division, Planning and Budget Division and World Trade Organization Division as a Deputy Director.

He also spent time at Korean Agency for Technology and Standards, where he served as a Director General for Product Safety Policy. Mr. Jeong-Hoi Kim holds a J.D in Law from Boston University, and a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University.
