Jiyoun is the head of government affairs at Naver Corporation. She has more than 25 years of professional experience in the public and private sectors with an emphasis in ICT and media.

Prior to joining Naver she was executive director at LG Uplus and was responsible for developing and investigating new business opportunities. Previous to her work at LG Uplus, she was the chief consultant at LG Economic Research Institute.

Jiyoun has extensive knowledge in the ICT, telecommunications, and media industry as she served 20 years in related government ministries. From 1998 to 2018, she successfully executed various roles in the Korea Communications Commission (formerly the Ministry of Information and Communication), Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and Ministry of Science and ICT. She has also contributed to overseas projects by working as a consultant at the IADB and developing broadband networks in the LAC region.

Jiyoun holds a J.D. from Indiana University -Purdue University Indianapolis, and passed the bar exam in both New York and New Jersey. She has a B.A. in Hispanic Language and Literature from Seoul National University.
